Arranging Your Home

First Things First

Even though a few home-arrangement authorities will ask you to get to work in the kitchen first, I will recommend commencing operations in a different area. Now, we will sort out the kitchen third and this by no means dilutes its importance, but I will make clear why I am not starting here.

Firstly, if you survey your home, you almost certainly will observe plenty of clothes. Your closets are filled with clothes, there is a huge pile of clothes just lying around (intending to tidy them up but not finding the time, and in the end simply yanking them out from the heap and putting them on), and your laundry basket is overflowing with clothes. Perhaps, you might also have wrinkled clothes lying in your dryer or (God forbid!) the washer. In case it is the dryer, then your clothes are just wrinkled. But if it is the washer, they are no doubt wrinkled and reeking and possibly moldy.

Somewhere in this huge mountain of laundry, soiled, fresh, or whatever, is the place you call home. And I am taking a guess that if there is a laundry room, then you keep its door firmly shut, since there are mountains stacking up in there. In case there is no laundry room but there is a laundry cupboard (with space for the washer, the dryer, plus some shelves), I bet that you have not set eyes on your dryer top for ages because it’s covered in wrinkled clothes and towels, correct?

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
