My husband and I purchased a 52 inch flat screen T.V. last August and it had been sitting on our family room floor for over a year. I wanted it mounted above our gas fireplace, but hubby kept giving me excuses why he hasn’t put it up.
I really think that he was afraid he would damage the wall (our house is only 1 year old).
I finally got fed up and went online and used a website called Service Magic.
The guys came out the next day and installed the T.V. and my T.V. was up just in time for Thanksgiving.
You can utilize this website for any area in the U.S.
    Good luck.

Talk to the local building inspector.
He will know the good ones.

    I’m a builder.

Instead of searching for contractors, through conventional methods such as yellow pages and asking friends etc, you can now directly find them online by signing up at free of cost. Home owners can post their projects at free of cost. Looking at the projects Local contractors will bid on them.

If you live in the US, subscribe to Angie’s List. For about $20 a year you get access to their reviews and recommendations collected from thousands of consumers who have used local contractors, suppliers and service providers in your metro area. They send a monthly newsletter which often includes discount coupons from apporved vendors, you can access lists of contractors and read reports on them online and AL also helps consumers communicate with contractors if they have a problem. I have had good results with the people I have hired through the Angie’s List recommendations.
